Mismatched nap schedules have made it hard for me to blog lately, but this last week was
unforgettable for sure. My brother Graham came out to see us during his spring break. We spent lots of time at the park and playing at home but we did have quite an adventure too...

One morning everyone in the house (except for Jason who was already at the hospital bright and early) started stirring around eight. The time change has been most kind to us this spring (must be trying to make up for "fall back"). Within an hour and a half everyone was fed and watered and in the car - here we come Redwoods! We live about an hour from the California border and it's only a little further to the famous California Redwoods.

They're enormous, gigantic, huge!!! We weren't disappointed. The sun shone, a few clouds waved, and a crisp breeze blew. But in the forest it was dim, cool and felt even a bit moist.

Hmm... then we had to search for a lunch spot in Crescent City...

Please note the line of demarcation across the table. :-)

And finally we had to make it home. Though the ride down had been fairly tame, Nathan was not so patient with the ride home. We succumbed to a sucker (kindly donated by the nice old lady at the bank many weeks prior).
It was a great adventure! First time to the Pacific for little Noelle and first time in California for both Nathan and Noelle. A BIG day and such fun to have Graham with us.
